Anyone have any experience with the Crimson Audio CTBV8 transformer? www.crimsonaudiotransformers.com/bv-8/6.5:1, but no frequency plots online. considering it for a retro-fit on a mic that has the same 12a-- circuit as every other Asian tube mic. But I would mod it to CCDA before replacing the transformer. The prices are decent for this style xfmr. I've used the BV8 from aamicrophones before, and the 3U gzt-47 (but it's so dang tiny!), and seen reports that the Cinemag can have too much high end?

I tried getting one from John at Crimson back in 2019, but they weren’t available. I wonder if that has changed. I believe it’s the only non-Chinese BV08 I don’t own! (—Edit— I don’t have a Cinemag version.) Let me know if I can grab one!
I have a pair of their T14s (one in a mic) that was suppose to be a temporary stand-in while I waited for a BeesNeez toroidal to arrive, but loved it so much that I still have never changed it out. Also have a pair of custom T14-sized 9.5:1 from them in mics. I liked them better than the AMI T13. Crimson makes great transformers, regardless of price. Their prices being absolutely, amazingly cheap, is just another perk!
