ev33 , you know what would be cool? A 500 series module of the LP / HP filters.

When you put the two together it will be the same thing as the MPEQ-1. We will have some room to squeeze some other stuff in there so I am going to figure out a way to add some nice harmonic color to the whole thing

Hey All! The saga continues. Here is a video that is a deep dive into the function and design of the UTEQ500. I also take on the challenge of replicating the EQ curves of 4 iconic vintage EQs (Neve 1064, API 550A, Siemens W295, and a Pultec EQP1A). Check it out and see if you think you could pick out the difference in a blind listening test

Love these deep dives. I never get tired of learning. ev33 , you can change the Plugin Doctor scale by holding CONTROL while moving the mouse scroll wheel while the cursor is pointing at the dB numbers on the X/Y axis, I found out recently.

Thank you for this! It will make this plugin vastly more usable for me

Great video, no question I won’t forget about it. It’s going to be in my psyche for a while. The things that stood out that no other EQ really does, how you could introduce resonance peaks. And polarity shifts. And insanely narrow Q and notches. And going from bell to shelf. Wow, so different!
Also wanted to say congratulations on the control room. Great video where you showed us your hard work, and now the payoff. I think I heard you say RCA 44? sure makes a mic invented in 1932 sound like they were from the future

Just saw this video again…I don’t really need an eq, but this makes me want a pair.
