Is anyone familiar with this? It just came out and there are not many decent reviews out there yet. www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/drums/session-percussionist/I have Shimmer Shake Strike and I have to admit that I find it a bit cumbersome and just not intuitive enough for my needs. SP features that appeal to me: It looks to have a larger and more diverse starting library of grooves and the ability to more easily alter them with 'suggested' alternatives. Alternatives can also be based on rhythms you manually enter.

This appears to be light years ahead of Shimmer & Shake. I have not tried it as I'm still on Kontakt 6.x. But I'll get it for sure after I end up upgrading ;
My computer, then my OS, then Pro Tools, then my NI Komplete bundle. Aaaaarrrrrgh!!! I love NI, and I hate NI. Only developing for the current, and MAYBE last two Operating Systems....

Man, this one is still on my mind. I find a compelling rhythm often begets a new song in my little home studio (drums are a no go, and I’m decent at best).

I've been using and editing the same pile of percussion loops from That Sound for a few years now. I could never convince myself to get Sharine or Shimmer Shake Strike, but maybe this is the one.

I'll stick to Logic's Studio Percussionist, please.

Generally I perform my own percussion as it’s an easy way to add a human element, unless of course it’s Timpani or a 50” gong!

Looking at this…but is it not just easier to turn on a mic shake 6 bars and take the best bar, quantize and loop it? Sometimes I think I could just do that shit quicker.

Sometimes I think I could just do that shit quicker. a good point, but this seems to sound amazing and gives you a lot of quick control over feel with the humanize and swing knobs, it also has a single slider that allows you to filter off top/bottom simultaneously keeping bleed out of the mic from headphones? for $99 I pulled the trigger, i'll let you know
