I honestly think I’m leaning toward grabbing the long body BC12. I think it lives really well next to the FleA 49 and U87 in this video. I wish I could find more samples of the mic. I may have just watched “The Greatest Night in Pop” “We are the World” documentary. Listening to all those different artists sing through C12s got me really considering getting a decent C12 style mic in here. I think I want to go traditional style/sound though. The BC12 does sound quite nice in that video. There's a couple of surprises in the video, too. I agree. It looks like they don’t use a 6072 tube. They’re using a 12AV7. I don’t know much about that tube. I wonder how it affects or changes the sound. That said, Ben’s choice of Brimar tube works wonderfully in his B67/269 V2.
