Was surprised not to get a UA announcement today. I’d been getting at least two a day for a while. I’m still pondering the Massive Passive. Somebody please tell me it sucks, I’ve spent waaaay too much already..

The Pulsar is a little bit more money if you take into account my $25 off at UA deal, but it also has some added feature like a graphic display and they’re throwing in a reverb with it too. I just could never get along with it. The EQ points are all over the place...tiny knobs, etc. I bought the Elysia MusEQ and preferred that...loved the mid side screw... |

Between the Super Bullet, the Tokyo Dawn, API, Pultec and Motown eqs, all of which are new to me, plus the built in stuff in Logic, I probably don’t need another eq. But ooh, on sale.

I bought Jamstix 4 yesterday. It only goes in sale once a year (I think until the end of December) and I had been waiting for a while. It’s not Mac compatible and the lifespan is questionable, but I don’t know of anything else that does quite what it does for the sale price. (I’ve heard good things about EZDrummer but I’m not into paying for each expansion and being limited to the patterns.)

Wish I still had a trial available for the Pulsar MP and VM. I tried them really quickly at the time and they didn't just wow me as better than the UA ones...Like - what's the one company called? Ruletec? I did think their Pultec was a little better than the UAD one, but damn...do I really need to spend a $100 plus when NO ONE in the world would know? I must break the fever.
