Really no posts on this yet?! I finally got my Stam and am pretty damn happy but I’m certainly curious. Fortunately for my credit card balance it isn’t due out til next summer.

Audioscape and Stam Audio are the same company at this point. I'm glad finally someone figured it out. Jokes aside, it looks amazing, love the knobs and it's not an easy design or built so congrats to AS for pulling this one off, super cool looking.

I always have thought the Dcomp was their take on the 33609?? Pretty sure the D comp is supposed to be their take on a Chandler TG1. I own the D comp and the Stam 609. Very different beasts but glad to have both.

Josh, why is it no one bothers to build one without the limiter entirely? Seems most folks don’t even use that section. Surely would make the build easier and the unit cheaper, no?

I think AML makes a version without the limiter.

I like the limiter on the Heritage 609. That unit is great. Heritage does make some great items, and this is one of them.

sure, but it costs twice as much Yeah, it ain't cheap, but it sounds goooooood. Plus it has a lot of modern features added to the classic diode bridge sound.

I hope this one turns out good! Whenever they had polls on "what should we do next?", the 33609 was always my vote. I always loved one on overheads, drum buss, or piano, but not at the prices they go for. A Compex still bests it on most of those things and usually can be found for less.
