Reports from musician friends of mine are that managers, labels, venues etc ask and only seem to care about how many Instagram followers you have. So you can understand the desire too “purchase” followers (fake accounts w/ low engagement, easily spotable) which happens a lot more than you’d think. But the larger your follower number is, the easier it is for a normie to follow you because the follower number is high, so it must be acceptable. If you are great and have low follower count, they’ll think twice about following you because that is not where the safety of the crowd is.
It’s thoroughly depressing.

Other than buying fake follows (which I don’t recommend), there is no short cut. You have to comment, like, and engaged with other people’s post for others to see you and follow you too. Find some hash tags you like, everyday engage with 10 posts. Make your comments genuine. Post lots of good content. You’ll start slowly but surely gain followers.
It’s tedious and it sucks balls but it is what it is.

Reels. And they can't be "listen to my new song" unfortunately that will not work. And don't buy followers that's a quick way to get zero engagement.

And don't buy followers that's a quick way to get zero engagement. yeah, nobody cares about the song, the music but me. every hour i impulsively want to quit social media but than i don‘t. without social media its impossible to gain new „fans“. problem is with social media too.

Wear a tiny bikini while practicing Zen meditation on the roof of your bespoke built campervan facing the sunset with your labradoodle puppy Bartholomew at your side. Of course don’t forget the pan flute soundtrack.

Reels is the key now on Insta and FB to get mass exposure. Plus putting it on YouTUbe Shorts and TikTok is still the king of all of them for video shorts. Which involves a hell of a lot more than just posting a picture generally.
But yeah. Video is king. Audio is the duke. Photos and the TP of social media. They get the lowest engagement these days.

Consistent posting and engaging with your audience are key! As for those who gain followers quickly, some may indeed buy likes or followers, but authenticity always wins in the long run. I'd say keep doing what you're doing—regular posts in anticipation of your new single release sounds like a great strategy! Just keep engaging with your audience and being genuine. And hey, if you're curious about those Instagram buy likes tactics, maybe it's worth exploring alternatives that focus on genuine connections.

I found out that sticking to one topic, no matter what it is fitness, cooking, being a hot chick or a kitten, can help you to reach your TA. Also, timing is crucial. You should post when people are on their phones, like the time when they just woke up and scrolled the media or during the lunch break.

A good way to get more followers is by actually talking to people. When you leave real comments on posts, especially in your music scene, people start noticing you. And yeah, a lot of folks think paid campaigns are a waste, but not all of them are bad. If you’re going to spend money, make sure it’s on something that gets you real followers who care about your stuff.

Unfortunately, you need to invest lots of time (and money) to create content. Content is the king. You first need to draw somebody's attention, then keep that attention along the way, and finally cause somebody to like, follow or share your content.
You also have to engage in people's comments, follow other profiles, comment on their profiles, make sharp and interesting comments...
It's a PITA, but it is what it is.
Of course, you can have somebody do that for you, but again, that is more money to invest.
