Hey all, anyone have experience with this sub?
I have a pair of KH-120s and am pondering (some day, maybe sooner than later) adding a sub. The DSP is a big part of the attraction. But, as I have two original 120s (No DSP) I’m wondering if the sub supports a low latency bypass that I could take advantage of for tracking certain things.
Any hands on anecdotes would be appreciated!

I’ve been looking into the same thing. I recently talked to an engineer friend of mine with that setup (kh120’s with kh750)…my understanding is that the dsp is all handled through the Neumann software and is not easily deactivated. In fact, I’ve heard lots of complaints from various people, my friend included, about how poor the software integration is.
As for latency, I’m it sure what the specs of the dsp are but I’d imagine in most real world situations it’s not a problem

I don’t use one, typically.

You’ll want to double check this but I remember something about the software being buggy and not always saving the dsp measurements, I just don’t remember the exact context, but it had something to do with deactivating it.

Well that’s not good. You don’t want to have to reshoot your room all the time.

I have 310s and a 750. Latency is virtually non-existent. Very happy I added the sun for the calibration alone.

I think most of the software bugs are behind it now...I've tried to the subwoofer with my KH80's at home...in that space it wasn't necessary but I've been tempted to borrow one again and try them with my KH310's in the studio.

Not using one, but I used the JBL version of this stuff (JBL sub with JBL monitors which all had integrated DSP correction).
The correction was a huge selling point for me.
But I never really liked it. It might have been "perfect" but it just sounded weird and I felt like I never knew what I was hearing.
Honestly the best thing I did was turn that correction off and just set the sub level a little hot.
Instant translation.

Not really setup for that, or is it simple? Let’s set aside two question of whether you’d want to or not, is it feasible on the fly?

I’ve never wanted/needed to, but to turn off the sub, I think you uncheck a box in the MA-1 app. Not sure why you would want to in practice though.
