Hi Pro Audio Forum
I'm thinking about getting the Allen & Heath CQ-12T Digital Mixer, I use the Presonus studio26C with studio one 5.0 and the Bluetube V2 tube pre amp. I was wondering how this would work or integrate with studio one or presonus studio26C,or would I just use it separately from both Units as a stand alone.
Thanks for the feedback

Welcome to the board.
This is something I've not used, but reading the specs and features it's a bit niche. Seems to be aimed at people who want to record and/or stream live, or possibly for remote on-site recording with film/video production. Kind of an all-in-one production tool. I notice it's only either 48K or 96K sample rate, which makes me think this is for video people. Nothing wrong with that at all, just less flexible for people used to doing things in 44.1 or another rate.
The Studio 26C doesn't have the means to connect to this that would be helpful. The CQ-12T would replace it.
The Bluetube could be used as an external preamp, just the same as with any other recording interface.
The CQ-12T is an interface, so it naturally works with any DAW, be it Studio One, Cubase, Logic, or whatever. It allows you to record either to an onboard SD card slot or connect to the DAW via USB on the computer.
I don't know what kind of projects you are attempting, but given that you mention two pieces of gear used for home recording, and you wonder if it'll work with Studio One, I'd ask why buy something like this with all the digital effects when you could simply use the plugin effects in Studio One?
Unless remote or stage recording is in your plans, having this for home recording with digital effects into your DAW seems a bit redundant, and probably expensive. You're going to tweak an EQ or compressor either on the computer screen or on the screen of the CQ-12T.
But again, I don't know your plans. It'll work with Studio One and the Bluetube preamp. The other Presonus interface doesn't have features to connect up the two.

Thanks Great forum. Thanks for the reply. I thought it was more for Video as well. your right it is redundant since im just doing home recording, I do have a good setup with what I have. The presonus and Blue tube V2 is a great unit. with all the Eq and plug ins, I think I would be better off to stick with what I have. and the cost is very expensive. $899 I have some good Tube mics that sound really Good with my setup. Thanks Sirthought for the advice.

Welcome to RGO. I have to ask what makes you think you need a digital mixer? Don’t get me wrong I currently own about 6 mixer 2 of which are digital, but unless it’s doing double duty as a live console I have to say I think an interface and maybe a control surface. If you are going to go the digital console route, not surprisingly Presonus has the best Studio 1 implementation.
