Yes, as the post states, they have production units completed, so they are being qc’d and then shipped: haven’t some people been waiting 2-3 years ?

My 670 was in QC when I checked on Aug 2nd. Still nothing on when it'll ship. At least it hasn't been 2-3 years...

Well....I guess if you've bought something and have had to wait 3 years, then QC IS a wow moment. Personally, waiting that long is not my cup of tea, and as mentioned elsewhere, I've got along just fine without a Fairchild.

I was worried these had become vapourware, as i wasn’t seeing much tangible about them.
Anyway, happy for those who have been patiently waiting.
I guess their move over the last few weeks, has taken some priority.
Very curious what user’s think of the SA660.

I recently received my Stamchild 660 and posted it yesterday on the latest gear thread at > realgearonline.com/post/337041I'm super happy to have it, love the added DC Threshold, and the sound samples heard on Mixbuss TV's excellent review of the Stamchild 670 give you a good idea of just some of the possibilities. Keep up the great work Josh! Attachments:

It seems like on the countless threads from disgruntled customers or customers-in-waiting you shower Stam with adoration, rationalization, and/or justification. It's fine, but curious what warrants such unfettered support.

For me, the Stam gear doesn't feel like a clone, it feels like the real thing. It's a great feeling, really. I feel like I have a 47, not a clone. Of course I rationally know there might be some differences when compared to the real thing, but I'd take my Stam SA47 over the last vintage U47 I used any day. Put a half dozen Neumann's in front of me, I might find one that's even better, but to have that kind of quality be affordable is actually amazing.
There are a few other "clone" manufacturers doing some great things too, I salute them all.

I would echo what Martin said above and though I have had my moments where the wait was long for me, I can't say it wasn't worth it to me in the end and I always knew I could ask for a refund of my deposit at any time. And while Martin is right there are a few other clone manufactures doing good things too I appreciate, in general it is really hard to beat Stam's sonic quality for the cost. In some cases on original or vintage pieces I could never otherwise afford, Stam has been an alternative that makes me no longer think of the OG because of the sonic quality. Throw in what I've seen others mention on other threads of some of the innovation pieces Stam is increasingly doing and there is allot to appreciate in my view.

Well, we disagree, I just got tired of people dumping on the guy and his team, ad nausea, so if there was a sign of progress and business improvement, I thought I’d post about it. Not certain how that lacks objectivity ? For a little context, I’m was also one of those disgruntled customers, who cancelled 3-4 orders due to the excessive wait times.

Shouldn’t that last sentence be I have gotten along Fair-Ly well without one😁 I am in complete agreement, I just sent a message to a dealer who said they had a BSS mini DIN to Dsub cable in stock so I ordered on Sunday and it hasn’t shipped yet. 2 years, no.

I don’t think anybody is saying you must have a fairchild/clone: after all, is any one piece of gear truly indispensable ?
I think certain pieces of gear became revered for the unique positive sonic thing that they do and if you want that, then you buy it or the best clone you can afford ?
I have never used a real FC, but peeps who have the SAFC: pretty consistently say they are keepers .
If I had the dough, (still paying off my 2021 tax debt), I’d be interested in trying the sa660.
I thought this had died a quiet, too hard to do death and am just pleased to see it available.
