Still showing up $1499 for me. Same here, wonder if it was a mistake, limited quantity or was supposed to be an unadvertised special.

Well dang if that doesn't suck. When I made this post earlier it was $799. I bet somebody screwed up on the pricing. I wonder how many people got that deal before they realized someone made a mistake. Oh well I tried. That would have been a smoking deal for sure.

Compared to some of my other mics like my Bu67 and my mic parts v251 mic I built. I hate to use this description but it's not as 3D. Can you really tell in a dense mix. I think one would be hard pressed. Does it sound like the mics it models. That I wouldn't know. The mic can do some cool things with the software. Like blending 2 different mics together for a unique sound. Using the 180 plugin for stereo recordings. I've also used my oc818 with the software with great success. I own the ocean ways and putnum pack as well. Have fun with it. I sometimes keep mine setup close to my desk for when I'm in writing mode. For some quick vocals. I've been wanting to try it in stereo mode as an overhead mic. I haven't had the chance to yet.

If I was still selling gear, this is where I see modeling mics possibly being a bargain, if it competes with a $1500 C12, or 47 clone and I get the ability to choose different flavors it’s a bargain.

Played with it yesterday, and will do more today.
Jo had a sing through it ….she said …it should stay.
It’s really surprising so far. As a mic without the software it sounds really good.
I got some nice sounds out of it. Using it as stereo on acoustic guitar is really cool.
The software is very cool. It pairs up really well with the Apollo x8 and Luna.
Cheers

I am actually working on something now where I have cut rough vocals with a bunch of different mics. The BU67, L22 sphere, my V251 build I built myself, OC818, An MXL Revelation the first version not the one they sell now.(it's actually a good sounding mic) CV4 and some others. I have been seeing what models on the sphere line up with the BU67 and the V251 build. I want to order a Beesneez ck12 for the V251 build. I have an AK12 in it now. Which is Advance Audio's ck12 capsule. Maybe if I can ever get enough time from running my construction company I can post up some files.
