In what way are external thunderbolt drives letting you guys down? Or is it just annoying that you can’t upgrade?

Okay the ARM Mac’s are definitely the result of Apple giving the finger to regulators saying “ you have to allow people to repair their own stuff”. Sure the idea that “ you can’t upgrade them” was a lie, it really always was “ the average idiot won’t have the skills to mod them”. Watching the video sparked my curiosity and I quickly figured out I can’t do this, but man a skilled tech should be able to do it. Well this led me to do what any modern man would do, I figured it would be easy to throw money at it and did a google search to see who would do such a mod and what they would charge. I think the results of this search speak volumes, plenty of videos showing how to do it, kits to help you do it, but in 2 pages nobody who will do it for a fee. What this tells me is guys have done it successfully, but nobody is admitting they screwed the pooch a couple of times and don’t feel comfortable enough to risk screwing someone else’s not all that inexpensive pooch to Offer this service. That screams what these videos only whisper.
