My go-to these days is my Yamaha C7.
My 27 year old son was in the studio with me w couple of days ago, for the first time in quite a while.
I loved his reaction statement: “I had no idea a piano could sound like that”

If I could afford it or had enough room, I'd love to have a C7. I played a C2 for over a decade for my job. It was nice but nowhere near the sound of a C7. But alas, my humble studio suffices with a U3, which IMO is one of the best uprights ever made. I can easily make it sound like a grand with the covers off.
