Anybody have any experience with Samar microphones warranty/service? One of my VL37A's that was just short of 2 years old went south.
Bummer, they are great mics and I miss it.

@mfouxman is a standup guy and I'm sure he stands behind his products. Did you receive registration or warranty cards/instructions with your microphones? The website page says it has a 2 years warranty. www.samaraudiodesign.com/VL37A.html Reach out! info@samaraudiodesign.com

The mic was less than 2 years old. I have sent the mic in and have also spoken with him. Just curious if anyone else has had any warranty work or repairs done. It was purchased direct from Samar.

Im confused - Sounds like they are honoring the warranty? What are you trying to figure out? They have a solid reputation for quality products and service.

Like Ward said M Fouxman is a standup guy, the only possible issue I can see is the same as everyone else availablity of parts.

Well, a few people come to mind . . . nevermind [/quote] Yeah, as a consumer you have to understand that it’s not always about the whole supply chain, it’s about the chain for what ever part needs a replacement. The other thing you always have to keep in mind is a Company like Samar doesn’t have the same clout with its suppliers as say GM.

Like Ward said M Fouxman is a standup guy, the only possible issue I can see is the same as everyone else availablity of parts. The mic had developed some random popping and fading in and out and eventually quit passing audio. Dr Mark indicated it appeared to possibly be the electronic module and I have followed for further confirmation regarding the warranty and how the repair will be addressed. In the meantime I was curious if anyone has any warranty/servicing work done. Love the Samar mics, I picked up a matched pair of AL95's and they are a nice compliment to the VL37A's.
