Spent some time listening to the Lion and the Cobra as well as Peter Gabriel’s US ( she did backing vocals on the album as well as live for the following WOMAD tour that I saw). Controversy’s aside, she could sing and told it like she saw it.

She had a unique and emotive voice that could wring blood from a stone - her talent will be sorely missed.

Sad news. The wife was very upset. What was her cause of death? Misadventure? "Police were called to Sinead's home in Lambeth, south east London on Wednesday morning following a report of an unresponsive woman at the home, however Sinead was pronounced dead at the scene. Her death is not being treated as suspicious. No medical cause of death was given. The coroner therefore directed an autopsy to be conducted. The results of this may not available for several weeks." |
