Anyone use this thing? I just picked one up for a pretty fair price. Figure with the solid reputation of Demeter it would be worth a shot. There doesn't seem to be much on the web about these, but any users here?

Give Demeter a shout, very good and reasonable service! Already shot support an email, jut figured that the intelligent folks here might have an idea. I'm working on getting a partial refund from the seller, but don't really have any idea on repair cost yet. Hopefully will know soon enough.

Demeter got back to me quickly (James himself) and gave me a fair quote for repair. I was also able to contact the seller and get a partial refund to cover some of the costs...they're covering the repair, I'm covering the shipping. All in all, I'm going to have nice compressor for a fair price.
Do any of you guys know what's going on inside this box? Is the board with the IC's doing the compression and the board with the tubes is the make up gain stage?

I know nothing about this, but i would re flow the connections on all your input/outputs(any connections that look stressed), and switch tubes from one side to the other and see if your problem switches sides with them? this looks well built, the opamps have sockets for easy swap as well.

Give Demeter a shout, very good and reasonable service! Disagree. James has had my unit for over a month and a half and counting. No communication about the compressor unless I initiate it, and even then responses like "Will check again today". I emailed him 2 weeks ago complaining about the situation, he said he'd get it shipped back that week. Still no word, so I just emailed him again.

If you're waiting on a part or having trouble diagnosing the issue, just communicate that fact and it'll be cool. I've been tied up reorganizing and with the new baby, so it's not an urgent need, but it's pretty rediculous at this point.
