I just went through a mix where I swapped out the compression on my kick, snare and room for this plugin. There's a clip attached for anyone who's really familiar with the sound of distressors on kick and snare
Maybe someone with the hardware can do a shootout. The song is also in the What Are You Working On? section. I did notice that the plugin was a bit difficult to dial in without getting some really nasty distortion.

Apparently this guy tried to crowd fund this creation and is seeking AAX approval. I think the distressor was one of the last plugins that I was really hoping would happen and a few months back when Dave Derr expressed interest in building plugins in the future that got my hopes up.
He's on the purple site, and he's quite honest with the fact that he hasn't "nailed" it but that he's getting closer.
