What's wrong with them?
Maybe you'll have better luck then me... about 10-12 years ago I bought an R7 that was said to be in perfect shape... and it was. For the first hour... then all the fun started. Display went blank, glitchy audio etc.
At the time nobody wanted to touch it saying there were no parts or schematics available. Based on a friends experience with an APR 24 I wasn't shocked.
Ended up getting a refund. Buzzmer because it really is a great reverb.

They are making a really bad scratchy static sound. I was told to put pads under the board because of the weight of the components. Seems that just might be the issue? Not sure though. These units sounded great at one time

If I'm thinking of the same pieces, I fixed about six of them two years ago. They have copper buss bars that run over the top of the pcb. In all cases, the solder was bad and I had to resolder those bars. They all needed new batteries and one needed a display. Kind of time consuming.

I believe I found some schematics somewhere, but can't be sure. I can dive into the depths of my work drive and see if I can find anything if you'd like.

I posted a link to everything I have for the Sony in PM. Hope it goes well. I did fix a lot of those. Most problems were bad solder on buss bars. battery and a bad display on one.
