Very tempting. I use the AR Studio One strings a bunch. They're quite good, even for a dopey non-arranger like me.

They are IMO.
I have the Core library and have been debating about upgrading to the professional version even though for my songwriter use the Portamento doesn't seem as necessary. But I'm wondering if the Pro's extra 5 articulations and extra 5 legatos would be worth it or not for my use. Either way they sound great to me and just like you'd expect IMO.

I need these like a hole in my head. I'm such a sucker for virtual instruments. I probably don't do enough home recording to justify...but damn, these are tempting.

May not matter much at this price point, but there was a 50% sale not long ago for most products. if Abbey Road Two didn't qualify at that point (due to being newer), I'd be willing to bet that the next 50% sale will probably work on it.

FYI - Spitfire's dedicated plugins are not OS13 Ventura compatible.

I bought and they’re really nice. Maybe it’ll inspire me to write something.

I bought and they’re really nice. Maybe it’ll inspire me to write something. That is exactly why I have been tempted to buy it. Superior Drummer really kickstarted my writing and I feel like great strings could do that too.

I bought AR2 and they’re great.
What I really LOVE and use heaps is Spitfire’s “Chamber Strings” they’re perfect for a whole range of songwriting styles and rock n roll arrangements.
Between the two libraries I’m covered for all pop strings.

Some of the notes in AR can do with getting dragged into Melodyne or Revoice, bit pitchy, can't recall which ones but the AR libs also are perfect for blending with other libraries for added depth or dimension, particularly as longs. Awesome staccato pathes too..

I really considered picking up AR2 during this sale, but I ended up completing the Ólafur Arnalds pack of 4 products instead. Man, those packs are soooo good.
Hopefully I’ll get the AR2 pack at some point in the next couple of sales.

Awesome staccato pathes too.. For me, the interesting "intonation" is part of the charm :-) It's a very raw sounding library, I can almost smell the rosin! It's a great contrast to Spitfire's Chamber Strings.

Even better blend strings recorded in the same great room! Agree it's a fantastic match!
