I have a chance to buy a pair of these for a decent deal but already have a quite decent preamp collection (but I admit I'm addicted to gear/options, it seems). A few questions:
Now that the Redd.47 press have been out for a while (and the related microphone also) -- anybody still using the preamps regularly? Still valued additions to your preamp arsenal?
Also, any recommendations for use/settings?
Is one enough or stereo make a pair worth-while, both in terms of rack space (and cost)?
Any help would be much appreciated, deciding to part (or not) with my hard-earned cash :-)

I haven't used their preamps, but if the Chandler REDD mic is an indication, the preamps must be superb.

Go for it. It's a great sounding pre. If you're getting the pair at $4000 or less (used), I'd jump on it.
You didn't remark on the condition. Always plays into pricing.

I think they sounds great, personally I prefer the Coil pre's - but apparently there's a waiting list for Coil's these days.

That first studio blew the budget on gear and had to buy shelves at Ikea.
