A funny musical revelation for a bunch of OT’s.

Now most of you know I’m missing a couple of fingers, well last weekend before the NFL draft came to town we hosted a group of occupational therapy students. So I’m sitting in my favorite breakfast coffee shop looking at Mini Moogs and Mini Moog clones and my wife understands that my goal is to someday learn to play a bunch of those classic Steve Winwood sax like solos.
Well this very earnest OT student at the next table over hears our discussion and looking at my hand and interjects that I’m probably setting myself up for disappointment because I don’t understand the complexity of chord structure etc. So being the geek I am I have to explain that actually the solos I want to learn having been originated on the Mini Moog and it being Mono phonic could technically be played with one finger because the thing could only play one note at a time and any chords would have been built via multitracking. She had never heard of nor could she comprehend a non polyphonic keyboard. Oh these young kids!
