So I just put a high dollar item up this morning. Already had 3 offers - but they were for much less (25% less) than my buy it now price. I over-priced it on purpose…
Anyway - all three of the offers show up coming from Delaware…and all offered the same amount.
Scam, right?

Well, probably but there are idiots out there. I had a guy make 4 offers upping the price each time in an hour because he thought my not replying in 10min at 2 AM meant I was rejecting his first 3 offers . I accepted his 4th and never told him his 2nd would have been accepted.

Eric has mastered the art of negotiation to the point he does it in his sleep! As for the Reverb scam, are they all new buyers? I've hesitated buying or even bidding on a few things lately as more and more red flags have been popping up. New sellers selling prized gear (to me, not the hottest items) with the same photos as an Ebay posting but in a different state sort of thing. Not sure what the endgame is there unless someone has figured out how to scam the Reverb policies.

It's been awhile since I've sold on Reverb but, FWIW......
1. if you ship signature required for proof of received and
2. photo/video working condition and over the top packaging for any potential dispute condition that may arise later showing it was perfect before it left. and
3. Choose Reverb Safe shipping option buying the shipping through them means Reverb covers any damage disputes i believe but check , And
4. I used to put a note in the ad that "Buyer will receive positive feedback after 7 days from receipt due to Reverb's policies. (because Reverb tends to side with buyer for first 7 days and then the seller after.) and
5. choose buyers on offers with higher number of good feedback ratings when possible......
....is all I can think of short of purchasing insurance on the item when shipping if you have concerns.
