New at NAMM - outboard stereo tube device that connects via USB. Not the sticker shock I expected either. Click HERE. Thoughts gentleman and gentle ladies?

$1,000 for 4 tubes in a box seems high to me ! Id buy the new Audioscape 1176 for $1500 before spending a grand on this.

Yes...getting back on track. A complaint from some is that the Freqtube doesn't have analog ins and outs, only USB, and that means that the unit is only as useful as the company remains in existence. But the upside of USB is you don't have to find another pair of inputs in your system to run it if you're tight on in/outs for external effects (me.) We all know that tubes aren't a panacea for improving sound and I have no idea if this sounds good in practice or not. That said, the idea that one can simply and easily access real tubes as an affect is at least intriguing.

Yup, just announced at namm, shipping soon: looks great! It's been out for a while actually, they were showing it at Superbooth last year.
