Anyone care to weigh in on this? The routing is just what I want, and if the sonics are ok, I’m in. But I’m in one room, and if the fan noise is problematic, I need to keep thinking.

I had to replace my fan in my ZED428….you have to open it up but the fan is available I believe. Reach out to A&H customer service for the part or an equiv from mouser. I put in a switch to have the ability to turn it off during critically quiet takes.

On further investigation, the 420 doesn’t have a fan (I think). I’m not really that concerned about how the pres sound, but do you find the eq to be pretty useable? It’s mainly routing that I’m interested in, so my hardware is on inserts, and then I’ve got faders in-hand after hardware; but it would replace my current Heritage MCM8 in the summing role- do you find the 428 pretty clean? Good enough to do the job? Thanks! P
