Some great stuff here including insight into some Chandler gear that I wasnt aware of that was co-created with input from Mirek Stiles.

Interesting, thank you for sharing,........ Beato understandably had a perma smile through most of that tour.

Agree with Mike. Pretty interesting. The thing that made it hard for me to listen was Rick's constant interrupting and talking over Mirek.

I think he was in the UK doing some live theatre appearances! Like an evening with Oprah for audio geeks

I didn't realize how closely they worked with Chandler, makes me better understand why the RS124 is so special!

I though discussing only two classic mics alongside the new ones was a bit “pluggy” but it was a nice tour.
Would love to see the TG and Red desks modeled in LUNA with summing!

It was nice, and i like rick’s channel. But I think it was a little generic when it comes to the AR studio tours considering other videos of the tour out there. Like the cribs one
Nothing new really.
I would have hoped to see a new angle. I think for example the sylvia massy mic video was sympathetic and nice.
Also the abbey road vinyl mastering videos are a great other angle.
And there are plenty others on youtube which are great too.
But what rick brought to the table for me personally was getting into the chandler co operation. I would have liked to hear way more of that instead of the j37 or the desks which has been covered many times already.
Im a big fan of chandler and really have liked the outcome of their collaboration with abbey road from what ive seen and heard, though all i own myself so far is a uad plugin of the curve bender. A staple in my mix bus. Hopefully one day an owner of the hardware.

I can only take very small amounts of Mr Beato. I can't stand "The Pedal Show" .... 60 seconds is torture for me. But Tim Pierce .... I could listen to Tim all day every day so I signed up to his Master Class guitar course and after a year I'm 0.5% as great a guitarist as Tim Pierce .... which means to the average punter .... I'm a now a great guitarist :-)

For me, I really dislike all the stupid faces on thumbnails and the click-bait titles that don't deliver. I don't know if I'll ever have a "big" channel but I just can't bring myself to do some of the things that I know "work." Anyway, I'm sure I annoy some people as well, but I sure try not to.

Well I did say some, definitely not all. I subscribe to your channel and thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. I'm subscribed to many Youtube channels and really enjoy them. As I said Tim Pierce is so good I pay a monthly subscription to his Masterclass. If you're asking about the ones I don't like it's for one of two reasons. 1. I can't stand their voices - they have a voice that grates. That's a very subjective thing of course like singers. For example you have a very good broadcasters voice, it's a pleasure to listen to you talking - not everyone has that quality to their voice. 2. They are self-posed, which for me is a huge turnoff. Each video beginners with a 5 minute infomercial about "them" it's 5 minutes of "me - me - me - me" This is what I think about the world - here are my endless pearls of wisdom - yeah whatever ..... just show me the Lydian arpeggio you promised in your video title! If they were songwriters they would fail. The song would have a 5 minute intro, a bad chorus and a endless fade out! Some, not many, are an excruciating combination of both these points!! Of course, this is a highly subjective view and one man's grating voice is another's ASMR bliss

It's definitely the stupid faces and non delivery of any audio goods. Or the guys that have a piece of gear they obviously don't know how to work and are just twisting knobs all over the place never giving any idea of how it sounds. I always leave with the feeling the majority have mostly made money from YouTube and very little from engineering. All that said I do have respect for the effort it takes to put a video up. I've had a Soma in on loan for the past month and thought it'd be awesome to put a video up comparing it to the plugin to let people really hear the differences via matched settings but finding the time to do so is tricky.

Agree with Mike. Pretty interesting. The thing that made it hard for me to listen was Rick's constant interrupting and talking over Mirek. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed this. I recently watched a few of his interviews and he quite often cuts off the interviewee.

I recently watched a few of his interviews and he quite often cuts off the interviewee. Because it's like "The X Factor" show - the wanna be artists isn't the star - it's the judges. I find him unwatchable most of the time. Great musician though - must be said.

Just like that. Great musician.

well, I'll take the opposing view; Rick is great and gets my respect because he respects the music and the artists and has fabulous abilities as well; interesting how we all differ. Cheers, Ross

I can kind of understand both point's of view. I think the Abbey Road thing felt kind of unprepared in many ways. Then again for example this video with Gregg Bissonette is great I think. He gives room for Gregg who is a such a personality and it all is just great playing, great look back at drumming history and good comedy in a package.
Also Butch Vig or Luke interviews I think he does really respectfully and still nicely intimate and casual. Just a few examples.
I think it depends a lot on the person on opposite side of him, If they deliver and keep it going forward the concept works.
