I’m having a difficult time sourcing a monitor that works for my setup. It’s needs to be large enough to be able to see more on the screen, but not just be bigger on the screen and have the bigger image, but to view more info on a larger screen, so I can see it still. It also needs to have a sharp image and is self standing. I have 40” of monitor space between my smaller Genelecs on my desk. Screen size is measured diagonally, so I’m not sure how big I can go yet without actually physically measuring from corner to corner. Does this have to do with screen resolution and not just plugging another monitor in to see more on the screen. Not sure I can change resolution on a MacBook Pro M1

Many of us here like the LG Ultrawide monitors.

I have an LG Ultawide as well. It’s, uh..well, wide. I get to see more faders on screen at a time. I sit about 4 feet back and have a hard time seeing things when set at the highest resolution. So, I have to lower the resolution to make things bigger, which means less faders on the screen at once. I kinda wish I had a giant wall mount tv as a screen.

I seriously considered one of the LG 32" screens but decided on the LG DualUp ..in combination with an older HP 24." The 24" serves as my fader screen because it has a standard 16:9 ratio, but the unique 16:18 ratio of the DualUp is great for seeing a bunch of tracks stacked (with ample room for faders). Another reason I went that way was because I anticipated that being able to drag a window from one screen to the other and then being able to put one or both windows in full-screen mode would make for smoother work-flow. I haven't used it for mixing all that much yet, but so far, I'm happy with my decision.
The mount on the DualUp is very nice too. When I'm tracking myself using the X-Touch as a remote, I can easily swing it around and move it closer such that it's facing me directly.
Of course, the down-side is that I can't have a bazillion faders across 32."
