Looks identical for the most part. Connectivity includes USB, spdif, adat. Probably all IO present already but unrouted for future models that ended up being the Neumann interface.

Behringer is coming out with the "BLT" (In honor of their Legal Team). It originally was going to be called "The Club". But then a member of the development team quit cold turkey! (Best Paulie/Sopranos voice) "Get it Tony?" "BLT/Club ?" Chris

In light of that little Neve interface, I'm a bit surprised this thing wasn't called the U47io or something similar.

Hell yeah. Always been curious to try the Anubis. Looks like this costs a bit less, too. Surprising but I'll take it. Would love to get one of these.

Neumann showed an interface last year at NAMM. I didn't remember it looked quite like this and I thought it had many more channels. It looks interesting.

Whoever eventually adds the Floatation Feature, I'm in. My chain then will be...
Lauten Atlantis>Great River or Liquid Channel. Hopefully no Waves though. I prefer being shallow. Chris

Maybe it's just me, but that is one ugly piece of industrial design.

Where's the spdif connectivity? I'm not seeing it.

I've been eyeing the Merging stuff for some time. This actually looks tempting to me.

I did get to hear some program material thru it next to a focusrite x2p. Pretty drastic difference as to be expected with the merging converters. Also got to sing thru the mic pres which are also Merging and they were really great. Transparent and big and tons of headroom.

The ones that all the "vintage" plug-ins "model". I hate to say this, but I've come around to the @tomegatherion view. It's all just clippers. All those "vintage-y" sounds are just modeling what happens when you run out of headroom. Throw a clipper on there and you've got the same thing. Don't get me wrong. I still like pushing the hardware and making it grind. But in the digital realm? We're all just looking for a signal that's out of headroom. You don't need to spend $10k for that. Geez... before you know it I'm going to be pushing Tokyo Dawn on everybody. Reaper must be the gateway drug.

Who needs a dirty box? I can do that for a $30 perpetual license. Or less. Ok. Jaded mood over. Rant over. The Neumann interface is ugly on the outside and I don't want to live with it for long enough to know if it has a great sense of humor or a good personality. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Are you talking about the plugin "preamps" such as the UAD 1073? If so, I concur. Underneath it all it's just clippers. Or are you saying that characterful analog preamps can be replicated with clipping in the digital realm? Or that the sound of those preamps is what happens when you run out of headroom?
