Hey all,
Got some clients who insist their DI in the front of their Apollo creates noisier signal than the back, so all of the guitars on the album were tracked with impedance mismatches directly into the back.
Any way to reverse?
Thanks!

There is no back di, just line inputs sounds like they didn’t know how to adjust impedance on the di?
Maybe try the ua C denoiser plug in ?

They thought it was the same signal path to enter from the line input in the back. I’m wondering if there is a way to reverse the negative consequences, but I assume the recording is just the recording at this point

Yea but the c plug in is designed for guitars I thought, if you hsve ua hardware you can demo for 14 days
No harm trying a denoiser and see ?

Is it still a DI signal that you can reamp or has it been irretrievably processed?

And if you don’t like UA, iZotope RX8 is good, too. 14 day trial.

Who cares? The Beatles and Led Zeppelin did it. Just gate and eq it.

Any way to reverse? Thanks! No, there’s not really other than adding some treble back, because that’s what’s lost and is also why it seemed quieter to them. Never mind the gain difference from the loading.

Who cares? The Beatles and Led Zeppelin did it. Just gate and eq it. They would plug their unbalanced guitars directly into console line inputs? No preamp or chain at all?
