Quick question ... has anyone here with an SSL compressor, either hardware or software, wanted for variable attack or release timings? It already gives you a wide range from smack to snap to limiting. The 100ms release is too slow and pumps wildly when dug in while the auto’s initial faster release is too slow and will overcompress and not hug the transients Are you talking about SSL bus compressors in general, or this Softube plugin?

I now wonder whether anyone with a variable release SSL clone such as the Serpent has gained anything by having that option available.
