Oeksound Soothe is my goto for fixing things in the mix! My second choice would be any proper de-esser (sibilance, harsh cymbals, harsh distortion etc etc).

Like Dan, I'm keen on TDR plug-ins, and regularly use SlickEQ Mastering and Kotelnikov GE for minimal but beneficial tweaks on the stereo buss where needed.

I run tracks through my Coil preamps - makes almost any crappy recordings sound magic / with a little ITB EQ beforehand Bricastis for spaces Miads are excellent too BG2's and BG1's are magical on vocals / bass and guitars Nvelopes for fixing shitty recorded drums / also for removing bad room sounds Capi EQ's for focus eq's (BT50's and LC25's) Electrodyne preamps EQ's for broad stroke inductor goodness
For software: Sooth2 DMG EQ's (Equality / EQuick) MJUC on HQ for compression TDR anything is always great
IMO, to make the greatest difference - it has to be processed through hardware (with software on the front end)

How does the BG1 compare to the BG2 on vocals? Are they similar? If you could have just one which would you pick?
