Bil was a great guy, and I hope they are able to raise a lot for his equipment for his family.

Hope that goes well, some great gear, international shipping prices seems a little out if whack, but maybe they are factoring in some time?

Mmmh that Lexicon Prime Time II. If only I could afford it I saw that. I love the ST plugin and wonder how much fun the hardware is.

This Analogr guy rubs me the wrong way… I just looked at the gear. What's the deal with the guy?

I believe Analogr is a company like “Everything But The House” that sell estates but focus on memorabilia and pro audio. They sold Al Schmitt’s gear as well

This Analogr guy rubs me the wrong way… Most auction houses just don’t get it, the exceptions are the biggies Southerbys, etc, though they have done some pretty crappy things and the high end auto houses. In this day and age how hard is it to actually hire someone who can describe a piece and any possible options? Why do we still have buyers premiums, pretty easy to just build it into the bidding? How about shipping, how hard to weigh measure and box when listing and writing listings? Instead the auction world sells to us online but every other aspect is still back in 1950!

Maybe it's just me but the estimated sell prices seem awfully close to retail for most of the stuff. Some things look interesting and I'd grab them but not if they are within 60% of retail. This is used gear. I see the same thing on Reverb and Ebay. Overinflated prices. I'd love to help out his family, but the prices are a bit over the top. Shipping is outrageous. I'm sure some people will jump on this. I saw a few things I would pick up but then the shipping was half the price of the unit. I could buy new for less.

Not familiar with who's behind the site but the thing is terrible. If you click into a listing on page seven and hit back, you're on page one.

I think I remember reading about him. A young guy living in LA trying to make it in the music industry, buying gear like everybody. And he started just grabbing some collectible things on Reverb like vintage Neve preamps that eventually always sell and sitting on them until they eventually sold at a premium. He beat me out on a bunch of them. I think the estate thing came more recently.

I had a good experience purchasing from Analogr on reverb about a year ago for what it’s worth. I agree the website is hard to navigate 🤦🏻♂️
