So I'm doing some remote work off my laptop and I need a brick wall limiter. The stock Pro Tools Plugins are fine for my needs but I need a dedicated limiter. Essentially I need L2 but for various reasons I'm not going down the waves route.
So what simple, straight forward, free (or near it) brick wall limiters are people using? |

TDR Limiter 6 GE is the best limiter at limiting still.
Free? ReaLimit in Reaper. Reaper also has the best free mastering compressor not Kotelnikov, Master Tom.

Honestly the Avid Pro Limiter if you have the Avid plugin bundle works good. It's not stellar, but it works great. It sees heavy use from me at times and in tons of post houses.
Just set the release time right, auto is not good sounding. and you won't want to slam into it. But for catching occasional overs it works just fine.

first 2 are not AAX format so can't use in protools. |
