OK those running octo and quads what is your latency like?
Why well I was trying to play with Waves Soundgrid and a Cobranet PCI card rather than the expensive Soundgrid card ( plus on the DM1K the Soundgrid card would mean only 16 ch of Ethernet snake & 16 ch of EFX if I can use the cobra net card I would have 32 ch of Ethernet snake, 24 of efx i/o & well the PC specs wouldn’t matter.

Octo user here. It’s enough that I never bother tracking while using it. If I’m into overdubs, I use my inferface’s monitoring for no latency while I’m recording.

Satellite dsp is not for tracking, just mixing.
For tracking with ua plugs, low latency, supposed to use on board Apollo dsp and either console as front end to your daw or luna.

Tracking, playing live or mixing ? Live, if we go this route it’s going to be cards because the I/ O will be the Cobranet card. |

UA had its own live box with dsp a few year’s ago, but I saw references to it dropping support ?

UA had its own live box with dsp a few year’s ago, but I saw references to it dropping support ? Yeah, I think it was Dante only, they really push Dante. I have seen guys use a PC with cards and AES cards, I am just not sure about latency. |
