They built all of Gibson's reissue amps for them 15 years back. Pretty big operation.
Have been around since the mid-90's. My roommate bought it in 2000 and moved it from CA to NC, our basement was briefly the warehouse. No connection since then.

Either way, I'm a fan of these kit types of products. I generally don't like having to source everything, especially if you're trying to get into a corksniffer level of parts on a novice level of knowledge. I'd rather spend my time assembling and then playing the amp rather than hunting around for parts for months, all the while never sure if you got the right parts or if someone scammed you on an old transformer or something. I haven't had a chance to dig into what Mojotone has for sale, but I see a Champ possibly becoming a reality in the near future.

I've built 3 Mojotone amps. Tweed Deluxe, Duluxe Reverb and a Marshall 18 watt. Complete kits, great cabinets, but some have limited docs, only wiring diagrams. All great studio amps. They make Session players smile.

Great amp kits. They've gotten increasingly spendy over the years. How are they now?

I have a Mojotone cabinet. Nice stuff but a bit pricey.

I think I'd be willing to pay a premium, to a point, to have them send me a kit where I don't have to source all of the parts. It'd still be considerably cheaper, I think, than buying a vintage amp with potentially dubious functionality, and these kits, as I understand it, are supposed to be period correct.

Whew, yeah, add the cabinet, add the speaker. It gets up there.

I bought a head cab for a 100W Superlead there in 2020 for $280 - now it's $413. 47.5% increase, yow.

Mojotone in my opinion makes some of the best kits out there, with awesome documentation as well. A few years ago I built a combo amp based off a kit that they offered at the time. a silvertone 1484 preamp circuit in a Marshall chassis with jtm45 output section. easily the best sounding amp I've ever built.

I've built three of their tweed offerings: a couple 5e3 Deluxes and a 5e5a Pro. I've got another Deluxe here and a 2 x 10 Super (5f4). I need to get on those! I generally buy without the tubes and speakers. I seem to keep a supply of both of those on hand.
I scored a pair of clean, vintage Jensen P12N's a few years ago. One will certainly go in the next Deluxe build.
