after reference in the other Waves thread , am demoing BB
having a very good experience on the two buss as I am just finishing songs for my new album
the combo of the beauty and beast modes, sensitivity, bass control and pre post controls lets u refine your sound in interesting and appealing ways
just solved a couple of small problems in a final mix very easily
recommend demo for sure and as its now sale for $29

Is there a product Greg Wells doesn’t like? Nothing will make me ignore a product faster than his endorsement ha ha.

I like it pretty well. Nothing that blew my mind but nice sounding and certainly has its uses. Just my two cents. Maybe Greg Wells is just really open-eared and can find a use for any plugin.

Ha ha, ya I know, as names never stop endorsing new wham bam plugs/gear, you just start screening it out. I like, chase, am finding it useful, its on my two buss, starting with subtle master preset and tweaking: going through all my songs on new album, it does enhance them in a good way.

Bought. This sounds cool and useful. I could probably do all of these sounds with FF Saturn2, but not this fast.

I played around with the Lil Tube version and thought it sounded good.

I think I like it. Def worth $25 to find out long term if it holds up.

Man, what the hell. This thing sounds friggin' great. Not only was I not in the market for DSP saturation, and not only was I not in the market for Waves plugins...but I have historically felt that saturation was one of the things Waves didn't do particularly well.
Preconceptions be damned, this thing sounds awesome.

There’s something about tape, tubes and transformers that I just don’t feel digital “gets”
Maybe it’s the physical nature of these three elements that’s hard to express in 0’s and 1’s?
The developers are definitely making progress with the modelling so I’m going to give this new plugin a demo.

I’m happy I bought it, but apprehensive about the whole Wave’s world, but stuck bb on each of my 9 finished tracks on my new album, started tweaking and preferred Bb each time. For digital, it seems to have an unusually wide sweet spot that you can tweak within its multiple controls. I don’t think it has or or I am not hearing that extra depth of ob gear but this isn’t a $3500 bettermaker box either !

I'm a little shocked by this thing. It sounds so good.

I'm a little shocked by this thing. It sounds so good. I’m curious what else might eventually be in the Magma line of products, assuming that’s what they’re planning.

I just bought this. I wasn't going to but I do use saturation plugins a bit and maybe this would come in handy. I might be in the minority but I thought some of the examples in that video were horrible. I personally don't want to hear all the crunchy bits. It's one of those things where as soon as I can hear the effect clearly, I know I've gone too far. It's like today's gated reverb. I have a feeling that in a few years everyone is going to shy away from super distorted mixes and they will sound dated. That said... I bought it anyway. It will be interesting comparing it with the Black Box HG2. Kind of similar things.

But that little extra something seems pretty useful thus far.

Really like it on Bass and Drum Bus. I’m pretty surprised that I like it on vocals, that’s where I’m most curious to see how it “ages” as I own it longer.

Right now it's more like Avid Lofi, Valhalla Vintage Verb, and XLN RC-20 will die a fiery death faster than whatever Waves puts out in 2022. Waves SSL and CLA had their day already.

Really nice on some hand drum tracks that I recorded just a little too crisp (drummer insisted on those plastic heads when I like goat or fishskin). Takes that edge off. Now that is three plugins that have this hardware sound: The GML Comp, the TDR Molot and the BB. I think we are entering a new era.

Grabbed this myself. Really enjoy it so far. Does seem to fit best on the master bus, drum bus especially, and bass is okay depending on the bass. Dig it.

I never really understood the power of saturation plugins until watching this:
One of the most enlightening mix videos I’ve seen on YouTube.
I bought the BB Tubes on sale too, will try using the Daniel Dettwiler way :-)
