Just to be clear, the 15ips tape emulator is basically a low pass filter and a low end resonant bump and some germ diodes that will distort when pushed (at least my understanding). It only emulates those specific characteristics of tape and not actual tape machine circuitry. There was a HUGE discussion about it being called a "tape emulator" and how the semantics of it can get tricky. Just want to avoid going down the semantics road here.
