Have I yet told how I acquired a '59 Gretsch 6120 ($350) and '59 Les Paul Junior ($300) in 1983?

Hm, more 'sane' lucky buys here... A Soundtracs Megas Mix, 40ch. loaded,a very few of them stereo channels, rest 'deluxe' channels, 4-transistor discrete frontend in an hybrid architecture pre, nice eq, much character. 200 Euros including transportation over 1000km right to my door. Ebay, the photos looked like 'oh my god, they should have let it die after the bomb attack!'. I just thought - well, someone *will* bid more than me, but the next offer was 199. - All - channels were working right after i fired the PSU up. Sounded great to me. I like it better than the Amek stuff i know, to give you a picture, nice upper mid class. And - it is obviously more durable. Maybe not tooo much of a jealousy maker ;-).
