Has anybody used the 4038 stereo bar from Vintage King (or any other similar model/retailer)? I'd imagine it is much sturdier than it appears in the stock photos, as two 4038s are obviously quite beefy. I'm mainly concerned with that little wingnut that controls the pitch off of the mic stand. I'm currently flying my pair off of two separate Tama IronWorks mic stands or Latch Lakes depending on the height or reach I need. I was thinking of trying for a one-stand approach, thereby freeing up that second stand for more mics.....
Anything particularly weak or troubling with the 4038 stereo mount? I'd imagine its the sort of thing you set and forget rather than always tear down back into two separate mics.
