I was thinking of how much I liked @shadow’s Bettermaker limiter.
I found it had this somewhat bigger then life glassy sound: both focussing and opening up the mix.
Was wondering whose running an ob limiter on their 2 bus, which ones, why and cost?

If I want glassy and bigger than life outboard, I turn to my Focusrite Red 3
(and I usually pair it with the Red 2 for any EQ correction pre-comp)

P.S. you can see both units in the second bay of my main rack. Red ones (duh) in the top.

I keep on meaning to play more with the Red 2 and 3… They’ve been sitting next to me, all hooked up, the past 4 years!

Was wondering whose running an ob limiter on their 2 bus, which ones, why and cost? thx! You should hear it in M/S mode Matt with about 7% even harmonic distortion set around the 2 - 4K region. It's not subtle and that's what I love about it..
That being said I've also incorporated a Neve MBP into the equation, I could probably use either or but it's nice to take some load off the Bettermaker Mastering Limiter.

I'm curious about the HUM LAAL limiter. I'm mentally conditioning myself to spend 9k€ for it, at some point.
