This might be like opening a can of worms . .. but I have to ask: Can you please give us a bit of the story about your journey and also how you could compare the Focals to the 300s to the ATC25s? One word about the 0300's... I know they look similar to the KH310, but as far as I've been able to discern, the drivers and electronics are very different and much improved, so not really worthy of judging the KH310's quality by using the 0300 as proxy. I did demo a pair 0310's and like some other 0300 users I've read, to my surprise I preferred the 0300's - though ultimately the 0300's weren't for me. |

How do you say no to a good price in new atc and a motivated dealer: lucky you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know right, I feel lucky! Gear prices have gone up so much recently there's no way I could afford a pair now. |

Seems that folks who didn't like the 0300 end up liking the 310 and those who didn't like the 310 ended up preferring the 0300. There's something for everyone out there! I still chuckle at the irony that is people will spend 10K on some used ATCs or argue about the best monitor for the money and dudes are still out there making hit mixes on NS10's. |

I couldn't mix an album on NS10's. I had a pair for a while - the very best thing about them was the $400 profit I made selling them :-) (I do have some late 70's Auratone 5c's that I leave up as they look so iconic - I used them a lot when I had 0300's - I had too) The money I spent on my ATC 25's has to of been the best money I've ever spent on pro audio and also the most significant purchase I've ever made as you can't hear a single note you've composed, played or sung or hear the sound of any of your gear from that esoteric compressor to a humble SM57 until it emerges from your speakers and when that happens, to my way of thinking, I want the sound to be revealed as close to it's true nature as possible within the constrains of my room and budget.
