Was tired of my 1997 Premier XPK Birch-Eucalyptus-Birch snare cast metal lugs busting on me. Replaced them with brass ones by Champagne Drum lugs.
The snare came with the set when I bought it brand new. I keep trying to get away from it, but damn it always sounds so good!

Got a link to these lugs? I have a premier snare with a couple busted lugs. I bought a couple original replacements, but these look way cooler and didn’t require any mods right?

That’s the link! No mod needed. These were brass, so expensive. Well worth it. I too bought a couple replacements; the gold ones are really hard to find.

How in the dog danglers are you guys breaking lugs?

Oh and what's the hole spacing from center to center for those lugs? Tons of drum stores sell generic lugs for cheaper.

They’re just old. For some reason, after 20-25 years, these Premier die-cast lugs will start to break. I could have gone with any of the whole bunch of other die-cast options out there, but I wanted solid metal. I wanted gold, so solid brass was a natural (expensive) fit.
The ones I got from Champagne I had custom to 1-inch center-to-center spacing; Champagne is all custom. I remember being nervous measuring again after the fact that the holes on my snare were slightly less than that, but it worked just fine; there’s some play.
