Relab just released an update to this plug, and it’s on sale for half off. Anyone compare it to UAD’s version? Is the 480 that good?

If you really want the complete 480L sound, it's hard to argue against the Relab being the most intricate recreation, especially in Version 4 now.

I’ve been doing some pretty extensive testing with these two plugins(plus more) vs my PCM 70 this week and surprisingly the best sounding one to my ears has been the FIR libraries that come with Reverberate 3. It’s definitely worth checking out if you haven’t yet!

I swear the FIR M7 library in Reverberate sounds better than the Seventh Heaven Plugin 🤷🏻♂️

I don't know much about Reverberate. Is it an IR loader or something? Do I need to buy IR's?

I don't know much about Reverberate. Is it an IR loader or something? Do I need to buy IR's? It’s an IR playground. It comes with a bunch of IRs. Matt @liquidsonics has his own proprietary IR method called Fusion IR or something like that. I use Reverberate 3 for pretty much any IR duties, including using a bunch of Past to Future libraries like old Eventide stuff and various chambers and things.

Honestly, Reverberate3 is a steal, especially at holiday pricing.

Does anyone know if there is an upgrade special from Essentials to the Full (new V.4)?

Does anyone know if there is an upgrade special from Essentials to the Full (new V.4)? There is, I think it knocks off 50%. I got an email this week about it.

I have Seventh Heaven, so I'll look into it. In that case, definitely wait ‘til Black Friday, and use your loyalty discount on top of that.

I have all the Relab plugins and the 480 is a real stand out and to my ears pretty close to the hardware.
Great for Halls and Ambience patches, not my favourite for plates.
The best of the best is a hardware unit the Lexicon 224XL.
That reverb is flippin' stunning especially on vocals - with a LARC remote 10 years ago they where 1800 I now see them going for 4000!!
I had the opportunity to buy one back then but I thought there's so few people who can repair them and let's be honest buying electronics 40 years old is pretty risky unless you have a further significant budget to cover repairs.
I wish UA would specially cover the 224XL with direct port of the code :-) (someone must have the code!!)

I have all of the Liquidsonics / Reverb Foundry plugins along with a Bricasti M7, I have to agree about Reverberate it’s great. My favorite from them are Cinematic Rooms Pro followed by Tai Chi and HD Cart.
For those that prefer hardware / pedals, check out the Poly Effects Beebo. Convolution reverbs in a pedal. I have Bricasti, Sony, Lexicon, etc IR’s loaded into that little box and it sounds very good. This is a pedal for those that like to create their own effects chains. 4 in 4 out. Done with a touch screen.
I agree with Dan, Relab Sonsig is outstanding.

I have both the Relab 480 and the UAD version. They are excellent. I would gladly use either. If I had to give the edge to one, it would be the UAD as it sounds just a tad wider, deeper, and more dimensional to my ear. A bit more like hardware. But both are outstanding
