Do you recall what the guitars were? I’m a sucker for a maple sided jumbo. This one looks like it might be J185 sized? Perhaps my favourite acoustic. But a slope shouldered can be great too. I don’t think this one is a Gibson. Cheers, Geoff Hey Geoff. the maple is a Collings SJ and the other is a Santa Cruz Vintage Southerner (their take on a fine J45). It's actually one of the few times that the Collings SJ made the cut for a track. I have had it for years but for some reason it's rarely chosen for recording.

Well they both sure sound nice here. A Buddy has a CollingsSJ but his has rosewood. Still nice but I prefer the maple. Santa Cruz make very nice guitars.

Yeah love the SC stuff but now they’ve gone I to the stratosphere price wise. Found that the top end Martin stuff sounds - imo - even a little better and those cheaper.
