Out running errands but my phone tried to butt dial in! At the mount line at target trying to strangle the worlds slowest checker.

I've scheduled the Xmas RGO meeting as promised.. Is it top secret? Nah, I had to cancel because I'm working that weekend. Its been a busy year and I'm booked until well after Xmas, on top of that I need to fit a new sink, finish off some flooring, clean, study and actually find time do some music etc. etc....
Also I moved my studio into that massive 8X5M room, the acoustics are shocking to be honest so I'm going to move everything back to the smaller room. I think around 14 - 17ft x 12 - 14 ft is about perfect. I could throw money at the problem but it's gonna to be a lengthy process to get it sounding right, also I don't have a studio budget anymore.
So, happy Xmas.

wish I wasn't at work. It would be fun to place faces to names Danny has this knack of doing these at the worst time, and it sucks because I enjoy the interaction with both Danny and Dan.

I do chief, sorry.. Sometimes I don't even know how I manage it, ultimately I just slap stuff in around work etc. There is a fixed one upcoming at Xmas and I'll see if I can get something booked in before then but I can almost gurantee if I do I'll get told to work that night.

Totally off topic but why are those dimensions 14-17 X 12-14 perfect compared to bigger? (And do you mean control room or something else?) Would love to understand since I am facing a similar shift. Thanks!!

Thanks!! In terms of REW / Arc measurements the GIK stuff I bought in the smaller room just works. I'd need a lot more treatment to get the larger room sounding right and it's something I can't afford unfortunately. I don't think the wood flooring helped either.. It's mainly just a control room, I have e-drums and some other instruments in another room.

I kept feeling like a dolt for having chosen the 13x16 room for my control room when a 22x19 room was also a possibility (but yes would have obviously required so much more GIK work and expense).
