know of people that have yes.
I have a kit to do it. Very expensive to build still and a ton of hours. Plus unless they have updated the circuit, which they might have haven't looked, the IC chips they speced are obsoulete. I struggled to find them and paid a hefty price for them. But they may have updated the circuit to use more modern IC chips.
Given the cost of parts though and time, there are a lot of options out there that would be worth it. High voltages new NET EQ or GOLY's EQ for instance. Or HCL I think makes a nice affordable mastering parametric.

Agreed, it looks like a great build, but at that price, you are right there are high quality options !

Yeah once you get all the Elma switches or even cheaper ones and everything else its almost 1500-2k in parts easily. Then a LOT of labor as there is a lot of hand wiring(every switch). The NETEQ by HVA is basically the same thing feature wise if i remember right.

The OPA2134 is still available but you have to do a mod to lower the voltage rails a little. Looks like they have the mod documented in their ZIP files though. The OPA1656 is the recommended sub but it's only SOIC and it also needs the lower voltage rails like the 2134 does.
