I thought my ff l2 was cleaner than the slate update, but tbat was just a short test.
You just have to go to slate site and download from your account, or the slate centre app, if you had v1, the license goes automatically to ilok: seamless

I bought FG-X years ago because Steven Slate had promised me personally that an update was imminent and I would get the update for free. I kept asking him about it and gave up after getting the same excuses for years. i wouldn't have minded if he hadn't promised me, but I based my not inexpensive purchase on his word that version II was coming soon. Seven or more years is a bit of a stretch to call soon.
I emailed Slate. I reminded then about Steven promising me a free upgrade and I'm waiting for their customer service response.

It does sound better than FG-X 1 did, but like any other plug-in, it seems like I'll use it sometimes and use other compressors other times.
I have to learn this plug-in to see if I can get better results. The original was way too harsh. I hear some of that now, but nowhere near as much.
