$600
Low-cut version of the 666, with hotter output. Got this from Cole Suddarth maybe 6 months ago. In great shape with XLR adapter cable.
Drop me a line with any questions thanks!

Both are transformer. ‘R’ is the low cut version.

Ah… Would have grabbed it if not the low-cut version!

Both are transformer. ‘R’ is the low cut version. Oh that’s interesting, thanks for the info. It was my understanding you could remove the transformer on this and it would be a 666 - sounds like that’s not correct? Do you know how the low cut is achieved?

FWIW I love the sound of this as-is on vocals and electric guitar, but I’d be interested in knowing how/if I can convert it to stock since that might help with a sale.

They're on the same spec sheet, no obvious differences I can see. These are the first variable D EV's, so less proximity effect than most things, but still some, so close work it's gonna make up some bass with the proximity effect. The transformer and capsule aren't on the one parts list I have, which is for both. It could be capsule, it could be less inductance in the transformer, or it could be an additional inductor. I haven't seen inside one myself.
