Hello Everyone, We are happy and proud to announce our SA-76D plus, a tube 1176 (Rev D) compressor. i.postimg.cc/VkycsVnY/Screen-Shot-2022-05-10-at-3-49-30-PM.pngThe SA-76D plus is a 1:1 replica of a vintage UREI 1176 with an added tube output stage which activated by pulling on the output knob which takes this compressor to a whole new sonic level. We are using Sowter in and out for the standard D circuit and Sowter in and Carnhill out for the tube circuit. Please note that if you do not activate the tube output stage this is a standard 1176 Rev D with no changes in the circuit or sound. The unit also comes with the super slow attack mod which is featured on our ADG-ADF series which is perfect for bass or letting transients through. Price is 1,199 USD and they are in stock. I love the idea that not only does Stam get as close to the originals as possible today, but to then add a tube stage? That's frickin' brilliant. I also love when a feature like slow attack mode is added. I've often wished I could lighten up the effect of an 1176. Sometimes I just wouldn't use the 76 because it was too heavy handed.
I gotta get me some hardware soon, I've been in the box too long. I used to love tracking a vocal with a good LA2A style compressor and a Pultec style EQ. After that, I rarely had to do anything but add some reverb or delay. The 1176 I sold was great on bass and guitars.
Well, I still need to buy a car first, and my move to Nashville went $5,000 over budget. So, it may be a little while, but I'm determined to get some real hardware on my recordings again.

Wed (4/18): received Paypal invoice
Thur (4/19): received confirmation of payment and delivery address from Ivana
Fri (4/20): received FedEx shipping notice
Sun (4/21): received FedEx notice of expected delivery on Wed, 4/24
So, I should be receiving my unit from Chile one week after I paid for it. Pretty good service if you ask me!
I look forward to purchasing more in-stock gear from Josh.

Sounds AMAZING and honestly; what a BRILLIANT idea / addition to a classic compressor! I would have NEVER thought of adding another discrete, TUBE output gain-stage to an 1176 - but I LOVE the idea, the execution and the fact that these are IN STOCK and ready to go!
