Hi Fella's,
I'm real close to finally having to pull the trigger on new DA conversion, at this point the best sounding configuration i can come up with for my rig is...
A to D
BLA FM Digi 002- after multiple comparisons, the AD of this little rig is just awesome, it gives me 10 simultaneous ins, and will have to do until something bigger, and more importantly, better comes along. I do not believe i'll exceed 10 ins at any given time anyway, so this should serve me very well.
D to A
this is what it looks like right now, 4 Ross Martin 8 channel AES DA converters(32 outs) feeding my 32x8x2 console, the DA chips, dynamic range, and noise floor are spectacular on these units, and i believe nothing will touch them in the price range from what i can tell?
Going to clock with a BLA Clock
INTERFACE CARD?
I'm looking into this www.rme-audio.de/en_products_hdspe_aes.php the problem is, it's only 16x16, which means i'm looking at 2 purchases to reach 32 outs!..mehhhh! big $!
Does anyone have any advice, or know of a quality PCIe card that will fit this 32 I/O configuration? Or at least 32 channels DA out ONLY? i plan to never exceed 96K/24bit conversion rate.
