Curious to see if anyone had tried it out yet. Usually their stuff is fantastic.

I have not. I’d be interested to know if it’s an algo or based on IRs. Plate IRs are really hard to get right for all sources, IMO. I think Valhalla Plate is still the gold standard for a “plate” that’s fully flexible and tweakable, especially in the context of a mix. That said, everything I’ve used by Fuse is highly impressive.

Bought without even trying it. I always find a use for all fuse. Totally killer stuff from Ray Dratwa. right now I'm loving the VQP and TCS-68

$29, kind of a no brainer . That's kind of what I thought, but the demo isn't knocking me out. Right now it's reminding me of a plate where the tension has slipped and needs a tune up. Maybe I don't have have it set up to get the most out of it?

Maybe I don't have have it set up to get the most out of it? I kinda dig the scuffed, lived-in feel of this one vs some of the others in my collection. I was doing beta for this and another company’s more clean plate at the same time, and I kept coming back to this one, even just for the grind of slamming the limiter. When I tried using the cleaner ones, they felt tighter but a bit more boring. Obviously, a lot of this comes down to the type of material you work on.

Got you an answer....from Raymond: The early portion of the response is generated using an IR, the tail is generated using an algorithm that simulates the response and the decay profile of a real plate which also allows for arbitrary decay times. So to sum this up: It’s a hybrid approach.

I remember really liking the LiquidSonics Plate plugin back when I had the Slate subscription. Have thought about buying it outright on several occasions, but haven't done it.

The Sunset IK plug is not very tweakable, but has a really nice plate.

I like all things Fuse so yes, their plate is great. Doesn't sound like the real one I've used but none do and I imagine most physical plates vary in sound as well. Said that, I can't say I like it a whole lot more than other options I've used.
FWIW I find myself using the Fuse spring (305) a lot more. It's not sproingy and has a bit of plate-ish sound to it. Fits beautifully in a mix.
